A non-stop Qantas flight from Perth to London
might be cutting travel time, but an aviation expert has warned it could cost
up to 40 per cent more to fly.
The airline announced on Monday it would be
taking bookings for flights direct to London from Perth from April 2017, giving
Australians the first opportunity to fly to Europe without a
stopover.
But Ellis Taylor from Flight Global
told 6PR Radio that
Qantas would have to charge customers more because of the cost of carrying more
fuel.
